couldn’t find Ashley that evening in the hotel. After about thirty minutes (and a run-in with Conor, who looked at me like he was going to fucking kill me when I asked where she was), I went back up to the room. I waited for her there while slamming back some beer, and sent multiple messages asking where she was, but she never responded.

I ended up passing out on the couch and woke up feeling groggy and shitty the next morning. I checked my watch and saw it was 7:32am. It was the day of the ceremony, and I just wanted to get the fuck out. I was over all the people and drama, and couldn’t wait to spend time with my boy. I lifted my pounding head and saw Ashley asleep on the bed. Realization of my worried thoughts from the night before came back to me and I dragged myself off the couch, threw on a bathrobe, and shuffled over to the bed to check on her.

I plopped myself into the king-size bed next to her. “Morning,” I whispered, trying not to startle her awake.

She slowly opened her eyes to look at me. God, she looked beautiful like that. “Hey. What’s going on?” She asked sleepily.

“What happened to you last night? I was hoping you’d meet me back in the room.”

“I didn’t feel like it.”

“Want to talk about it?”

“No,” she replied bluntly and pulled me closer to her.

There in the darkness of the room, her hair still disheveled and messy from sleep, Ashley reached her face up to meet me and pressed her lips hard against mine. I got the feeling there was something playing on her mind that she wanted a distraction from.

Well fuck, who was I to deprive her of that? I’m no angel and was happy to oblige.

I ran my hands down the length of her, feeling the shape of her body through her nightgown. I lifted my hands to her breasts and squeezed them, eliciting a moan from her sexy mouth as I jumped on top of her and caged her underneath me.

“Oh, I love it when you do that,” she groaned.

“Yeah?” I grunted. “How about this?”
